*Rushan AHSB won the Supreme British National Championship at Europe's largest show in 1997 as a yearling, the youngest horse in the history of the British Nationals to win the title. By the double *El Shaklan stallion, El Saleem, British National Champion in halter and performance, and out of the British National Foal Champion Rullante, *Rushan showed an extraordinary exuberance and joie de vivre, that carried him through all 5 levels of the show to the Supreme title.
El Saleem was by the most winning son of *El Shaklan on any continent, the Maxwell bred, Maleik El Kheil who has been British National Champion , 2 times World Champion, Supreme Champion Nations Cup in Sweden and numerous championships throughout Europe and the Middle East.
El Saleem's dam, Crysilla was the British National Champion Filly out of the Bright Shadow daughter, Crystal Clear, a Hamdani Simri tracing to the Blunts Ali Pasha Sherif mare, the incomparable Sobha-renowned for her sweetness of character, excellent riding companion and breathtaking beauty. Bred by respected international judge Barbara Campbell, Crysilla acquired the traits regularly passed on by Sobha to her descendants, extraordinary sweetness of character, beautifully correct and smooth body. Crysilla was said by many , to be the most beautiful chestnut *El Shaklan daughter ever bred.
*Rushan's dam, Rullante by Roxan out of Russalka, was bred by the renowned British artist, Miss Meg Stevens, internationally famous for her sculptures and drawings of Arabians as well as wild life for the most famous of the British ceramic companies. Miss Stevens brought forth her artist's eye when breeding fine Arabians. It is through Russalka to Rullante
and on to *Rushan that the gorgeous Irex head emerges in so many of his descendants. Rullante's sire, Roxan was well known as the White Horse Whiskey model and besides being a famous showring winner, Roxan was renowned for his adoration of humans! A wonderful story is told of his escaping the White Horse Whiskey TV crew and running miles away to be found at an ice cream truck, surrounded by children adoring, laughing children gleefully feeding him ice cream cones and popsicles! Like his granddad, *Rushan adores people, preferably a huge audience, and lots of attention.
*Rushan is not only renowned for his beauty but his brilliant action surely the result of minimally 16 lines to the great Blunt desert import, Azrek said to have been dominant for correct motion characterized by a delightful exuberance!
Most importantly *Rushan brings an extremely important element to the breeding barn. He is a complimentary outcross to the most popular of American bloodlines, *Bask, Bey Shah, Ali Jamaal and *Padron. To date all *Rushan foals shown have been champion or reserve, in all venues shown! At the US Nationals, Hukam Maj by Marwan el Shaqab x Dinamaj by *Rushan, was Top Ten colt first time out! His half sister, Penelope Maj has been a regional champion. Their dam, the *Rushan daughter, Dinamaj was shown only once but was named Show Champion Mare overcoming two champions, one of which had won at the US Nationals!
More exciting is the *Rushan son out of the World Aristocrat mare, WN Sharazada, the stunning ANTHAM, also standing at Mt. Pleasant Stallion Station. Two times unanimous Nor-Cal Futurity Champion, Canadian National Top Ten Champion (actually top 5) , Antham is characterized by spectacularly correct structure, beautiful motion, flaxen coloration, exotic head and a loving charisma. He adores people and they just adore him back. Since birth he has had a fan club!
